I know about skating, ice hockey, curling and bobsleigh, but I’ve only tried skiing. I don't think it is difficult to get started with skiing, but it is hard to be proficient at it. Winter sports are full of novelty and attraction to me because I grew up in Guangdong and Venezuela.
我了解滑冰、冰球、冰壶，还有雪车，但我只体验过滑雪。我觉得滑雪入门不难，但很难做到精通。作为一个生活在广东和委内瑞拉的人，冰雪运动对我来说非常新奇有趣。

I know about skiing, skating and curling. I haven’t watched any winter sports on the scene, but a few days ago I tried curling with some of my friends. Though I could not handle it, I did try myself. I realized that sports were not that easy. Athletes are of strong willpower and they all invest a lot in their careers.

I remember the first time I went to the rink. It was freezing cold, and I had difficulties keeping balance with my ice skates on. At first, I could barely move forward unless I leaned on the fence next to me. I appreciate how difficult it is to skate. The athletes are really amazing!
记得第一次去溜冰场时，场内非常冷，我穿上冰刀鞋后很难掌握平衡，起初只能靠扶住旁边的围栏，我才能勉强前行，这让我体会到了滑冰有多难。所以，我觉得运动员们真的很了不起！

At the 2008 Olympics, I watched the lighting ceremony outside the National Stadium with my family. There were huge crowds and suddenly a flame ignited. The whole audience erupted with applause. It was spectacular and made a strong impression on me.

I remember that the Olympic theme song You and Me had been popular for a long time, and the mascot Fuwa also went viral. The most impressive part for me was the opening ceremony when Li Ning ran around the Bird's Nest in the air and lit the Olympic cauldron, which triggered a strong visual impact and was extremely inspiring!
